About us
The Restaurant
White’s restaurant offers the best in fresh, locally sourced internationally inspired food. The restaurant has been converted from the old barn and stretches way up into the eaves offering a truly beautiful space in which to enjoy a delicious lunch or evening meal.
A theatre style kitchen allows guests the unique opportunity to watch our chefs at work. Our handpicked wine list boasts a diverse range of wines both old and new world, including some local wines and sparkling wines to Sussex.
Our food
Our award winning restaurant is led by Head Chef Lee Cowan, who has, amongst other culinary accolades worked under soome of the leading hotels and restaurants in the South East.
His artistry, combined with a passion for using only the finest and freshest locally sourced ingredients, promises an exceptional culinary offering here at Whites Kitchen. We have well trained wine waiters on hand to offer advice and guidance on selecting wines to match your food.
Local produce and foraging
Much of our food is locally sourced; in fact you will find the miles travelled on our menus. We also have our lovely forager Debra who brings us a wonderful selection of local foraged goods from Storrington in West Sussex. Whilst writing this I have just seen this week’s foraging fruition which includes dandelions, sorrel, nettle heads, wild primrose and garlic. We are spoilt.
We know it has become trendy to talk about local seasonal produce, but genuinely the quality and taste is sublime, and it is great to support local producers.
